Dodgeball Tournament for Adopt-A-Child: There will be a 6-on-6 Volleyball Tournament on Friday, October 4th. Cost is $30 a team. Games will be played in the gym beginning at 3:10. Games will be played to 15 points. Each team must consist of at least 2 males and 2 females. Cost to attend and watch is $1. There will also be a last person standing contest which will result in a Sonic Drink for you and a friend. The entry for last person standing is $1. Those interested please see Miss Guiot in Room 121 for a sign up sheet. There are a limited number of teams. All registration forms are due October 1. All proceeds go to adopt-a-child.
Chess Club has started. Practices are on Mondays and Wednesdaysfrom 3:00 to 3:45 in room 118. If you know how to play chess or want to learn how to play, stop by Miss Bourne's room or Mrs. Bolt's room to get a parent permission slip.
Running Club starts Monday, Sept. 9. Students will run 4 days a week and should be done in time for those who need to ride the 4 PM bus home. Those who don’t ride the bus can stay and get a longer workout or route in. Come dressed to Ms. Jones’ room by 3:15 PM.
Tennis Club will be starting Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Mr. Burnett's room. It will be a quick meeting to hand out parent permission forms and a calendar of the days we will meet. See Mr. Burnett with any questions.
Reminder to all students: Please remember that our dress code expectations apply to all students. You must follow the rules. IF you show up to school with clothes that are not compliant with our dress code rules, we will assume you are intentionally not following them, and you will be assigned to ISS for the day.
School IDs: The price for IDs is $2.50. That will get you the ID and the sleeve. If you need a lanyard the cost will be $3.50.
According to the handbook: All students are to be off school grounds unless under supervision of a teacher or coach. That means, no hanging around in the commons or other areas, including outside on the school grounds. If you are done with a teacher at 3:15, please come to the office and call for a ride home. The 4:00 bus is intended for those who are staying for ESD/EADs, tutoring, etc. and are here until 3:45 or 4:00. If you are done with one teacher at 3:15, it is okay to find another one who can supervise you reading or working, but you must be sitting in a classroom if you are sticking around.
All enrollment forms can be completed and fees paid online.
Students who finished the 2018-2019 school year with Chanute Public Schools sould have received an email with directions and a code to enroll online. Parents who did not receive a code or whose email has changed should use the link below to update their address.
To enroll, parents of returning or new-to-district and kindergarten students should go to the Enroll Online Tab Button on the district’s website. Click on the link for new student OR returning student.
School offices are open for parents who want to use a school computer to enroll. Office hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.
