FCCLA students to sing at opening conference
Congratulations to the following students for being selected to sing the national anthem at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference Opening Ceremony on April 8th.
They are Brinly Bancroft, Sarah Smith, Kamri Naff, Preston Keating and Tyra Bogle.
NCCC Talent Search has found a tutor to help students at Royster Middle School after school. Tutoring is now available to students after school in the library until 4 p.m., from Monday through Thursday. Only students needing assistance and who are working will be allowed to stay.
To enroll, parents of returning or new-to-district and kindergarten students should go to the Enroll Online button on the district’s website, www.usd413.org and click on the link for new student or returning student. Parents who need, can use the school computers to enroll online between 8 am – 4 pm weekdays.
Parents of students who finished the 2017-2018 school year with Chanute Public Schools should have received an email with a snap code to enroll. Parents whose email has changed can update their address by clicking on this link: https://goo.gl/RJ988F
Reminder to all students: Please remember that our dress code expectations apply to all students. You must follow the rules. IF you show up to school with clothes that are not compliant with our dress code rules, we will assume you are intentionally not following them, and you will be assigned to ISS for the day.
According to the handbook: All students are to be off school grounds unless under supervision of a teacher or coach. That means, no hanging around in the commons or other areas, including outside on the school grounds. If you are done with a teacher at 3:15, please come to the office and call for a ride home. The 4:00 bus is intended for those who are staying for ESD/EADs, tutoring, etc. and are here until 3:45 or 4:00. If you are done with one teacher at 3:15, it is okay to find another one who can supervise you reading or working, but you must be sitting in a classroom if you are sticking around.
School IDs must be worn at all times. Students without IDS in the classroom or the halls, will be assigned an ESD if they are in pockets, folders, or just not on you. The price for IDs is $2.50. That will get you the ID and the sleeve. If you need a lanyard the cost will be $3.50.
Students must charge their Chromebooks at home each night. Each student and parent signed an agreement before being loaned a Chromebook. We will no longer loan out chargers during the school day. If you forget to charge it, you may plug it in at lunch in the commons area. Until then, you will need to use paper and pencil in the classroom.
